Nick Holden (SBI 2013, Villanova Class of 2015), is a History major pursuing Communications and Marketing minors.
What was the funniest thing that happened to you during SBI?
In order to introduce ourselves to our CE professors and our classmates at the start of the course, we had to come up with a creative idea that would help others remember who we were. I did an impression of the actor Nicolas Cage, and performed a skit in which I stole the Declaration of Independence. Nobody forgot my name after that. Plus, yelling “Hump Day” in the spirit of the Geico commericial every Wednesday night at midnight was a weekly tradition.
What have you been up to since graduating SBI?
I have become the sports director for the student radio station, 89.1FM WXVU. I work as a Media Relations Assistant in the External Communications department of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. I am also enjoying my Marketing class in VSB.
How has your SBI experience helped you since graduating the program?
I have attended many networking events for internships and job opportunities both home and on campus, I have strengthened my resume and LinkedIn profile, and more importantly, I built a lot of friendships with my fellow SBI classmates and with VSB professors that will hopefully last long after I graduate from the University.
How do you plan to use your business education in the future?
I plan on pursuing a Marketing minor in VSB and am considering getting an internship or job in the business world.
How would you sum up your SBI experience in one sentence?
Tough times never last, but tough people do.
