Curt MacIver (SBI 2014, VU ’15) is a rising senior from Western Springs, Illinois. He is pursuing an arts and sciences Economics major with minors in Business, French, and Sociology.
Why did you decide to take SBI?
I enrolled in SBI because I felt it was a great accent to my Economics major. I think that it is very important for people to have a basic understanding of how a business runs because that affects us as consumers. I also felt that the program, especially the finance and accounting courses, could help me with my personal finance (basic budgets, etc).
What is your favorite SBI Study Hangout?
We like to Barty pretty hard.
What music are you currently listening to?
Band of Horses sets the mood right.
What are your career plans?
I am considering pursuing a financial services career path, but I am really not sure.
Which former U.S. President would win in a fight, Theodore Roosevelt or Andrew Jackson?
This is like asking whether a bunny or a lion would win in a fight. Teddy Roosevelt was a Rough Rider. He’s gonna win.
