Friday’s Fast Five: Meet Brittany Gullone!

During her undergrad years, she majored in Psychology and had a Marketing minor, in addition to her SBI Business minor. Brittany interned at Vanguard before joining full-time in the Vanguard Accelerated Development Program. As she nears the end of her program, she is preparing for a role as supervisor of the investment operations division. Here’s Brittany’s Fast Five!

#1. What’s one fun fact about you?

“I won the “best interview” award as a 12 year old in a dance competition (but did not win anything for my actual dance performance).”

#2. What’s your all-time favorite movie?

“Life is Beautiful”

#3. Name one thing from your bucket list.

“Traveling to see and experience the as much of the world as I can.”

#4. What’s your favorite college memory?

“It is difficult to pick just one!  I’d have to say it is a combination of the very first mass and very last mass I attended with my family and the Villanova community.”

#5. Why did you decide to apply for SBI?

“When applying to SBI, I did so because I thought “business is at the heart of everything” – since then, the experiences I have had changed my perspective to “people are at the heart of everything”. It was the combination of my passion for liberal arts (specifically the topic of psychology) and the practical business education I gained through SBI that has contributed to my success since graduating from Villanova.”

She is majoring in Mechanical Engineering, with a concentration in Dynamics. She completed SBI in 2013, so that she could learn more about how to run her own business in the future. She is captain of the Nova Nassa South Asian Dance Team, is a member of the Society of Women Engineers, participated in Women’s Club Ultimate Frisbee, and so much more! Here is Priya’s Fast Five…

“Go skydiving.”

#2. What is your favorite Villanova memory?

“Representing Villanova through the fusion dance team nationwide in various competitions.”

#3. If you could have dinner with one person, who would it be?

“President Obama”

“The Batman Trilogy”

“I love to dance!”

Fast Five: Meet Blaire Fenniman!

She is from Dover, New Hampshire and completed SBI in 2015. She’s a hard-working student, double-majoring in Cultural Studies and Spanish. Last semester, she worked as a community interpreter intern for Spanish-speaking clients at the Villanova School of Law. After graduating from Villanova, she hopes to attend law school herself. “I am currently addicted to the new Netflix series ‘Narcos,’ about the life of Pablo Escobar and his reign as a drug kingpin in Colombia.”

“To watch our basketball team win a national championship.”

“Natalie Dormer. She plays Margaery in Game of Thrones and is such a good actress.”

“Freshman year my friends and I decided to have a night in at St. Mo’s and we ordered $200 worth of Campus Corner, pigged out, danced, and had a movie marathon all night long.”

In addition to his business minor, he also minored in Japanese! He has been very busy over the past few years, working with Teach for America and earning his master’s degree in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Today, he is a secondary mathematics teacher and varsity football coach at James Campbell High School in Hawaii. Here is Taylor’s Fast Five!
